Apprentice Technician

$26/hr plus tips. Performance bonus & unlimited overtime. 401k, IRA, Health Insurance, & PTO.

Job Description:

Our mission at Lunyar is to provide fast, friendly, and affordable home & commercial services for electronics and appliances. We are looking for a apprentice technician to join our team!

As an apprentice technician, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electronics, appliances, structured cabling, networking, and security issues for our customers. You will also be required to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with our clients.

We provide our technicians with a suite of in-house tools to help them gain competency in their respective areas. We also offer a competitive rate and benefits package, including health insurance.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Drive reviews via multiple online channels through the use of soft skills & customer service focus.
  • Drive a company vehicle as instructed to/from job sites to complete various installations or troubleshooting of client device/home.
  • Complete regular training as required to be eligible to provide services.
  • Manage inventory of assigned vehicle & shop to ensure proper preparation for client services.
  • Triage issues with the client to ensure proper understanding of services needed.
  • Perform installation or troubleshooting of client device/home.
  • Accurately document all work performed in customer-facing documentation as well as internal documentation.
  • Communicate updates on service status to appropriate parties (customer, co-workers, management).
  • Interfacing with management to improve current processes to ensure seamless client experience.
  • Be able to perform with ambiguity in a team-based environment to tackle difficult problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and appliance issues
  • Relevant experience with installations
  • Structured Cabling experience preferred
  • Computational background preferred
  • Knowledge of existing smart products/current technologies preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, transport up to 75lbs by individually or more as a team. Adequate safety equipment & transport equipment is provided.
  • Depending on entry qualifications, be willing to complete a rigorous training program in areas where competency is not demonstrated within 90 days of hire.
